ReplyDeleteThis is invaluable! This visual learner thanks you very much!
ReplyDeleteHello! Julie over at Leelou sent me this way with a question that I had asked her. This is what I sent to her...
ReplyDelete"I love your website and especially your desktop backgrounds. I recently started playing around with Picasa and following the tutorials. I downloaded the March background and for the first time I did the customized one. I was just curious. When adding my photos to the frames is there a way to make it transparent? So that elements, like the shamrock, doesn't get covered by the photo? Any advice or info is greatly appreciated! Thanks!"
She said you were the expert and might be able to help me out with that. I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!
Hi Julie,
ReplyDeleteEmail us anytime! A .png file is used to make elements "transparent" (without a white background)- unfortunately, Picasa can import a .png, but it will "flatten" it with a white background. We have been harassing google to update Picasa and make .png files compatible, but we haven't heard anything yet. In order to design what you are wanting to here, you will need another software program. (photoshop, creative memories)
Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Thank you so much! And thank you for all the beautiful ideas and papers and elements! I'm hooked!!!
