A few years ago, I shared 5 Ways to Avoid Background Clutter when taking pictures with your mobile device. With the advancement of mobile apps, we can now remove unwanted objects from our photos. Amen!
Here’s my favorite go-to apps that can do just that….
Simply choose a photo and double-tap or pinch to zoom in on the object or person you want to remove. Use a lasso tool or an adjustable brush, whichever you are more comfortable using, and draw around the selected area. The masking area will be highlighted in red. Tap “Go” and it disappears. Just like that!
*Have fun with photos … make it look like people are flying or jumping by removing the object that was supporting them.
Snapseed is one of our favorite mobile editing apps. It’s packed full of editing tools, and it’s free! Snapseed’s healing brush will clone stamp to remove objects. This app isn’t capable of fine tuning small details like TouchReTouch, but it does a great job with solid backgrounds. Learn more about Snapseed in our 2.0 post here.
Open the toolbox & simply brush or tap unwanted spots to watch them disappear. Tap or to undo or redo any edits.
With AfterFocus, you can create DSLR-style background blurred photo by simply selecting focus area.
Selecting a focus area more precisely, you can achieve more natural and professional image.
Just mark the areas you want, AfterFocus automatically recognizes the focus area even for an object with complex shapes. Edit, erase, re-edit until you get it right. Choose from a lens blur or motion blur to add movement to your image.
Once you’re done editing your mobile photos, be sure print them!
Can’t wait to see what you do with these apps! Be sure to use the #persnicketyprints hashtag so we can find you!
