Spring Break Documented + a freebie

For those of you who follow Persnickety Prints on Instagram, you may have noticed that we took our wild boys to southern Utah for Spring Break last week. Hiking, Biking and Swimming in perfect 70 degree weather was just what we needed before heading back home to the rain!

When busy with these types of activities, I always have my phone, never my big ole Nikon D90 to take photos. With the right apps (online class coming soon) mobile photography can be just as sharp as a point and shoot.

Now to the great part…. As we are road tripping home in the car, for 4 hours, I had edited, uploaded and order all prints needed to complete the right page above. The 4×4 Pocket Pages from WeR Memory Keepers makes it easy to slip in mobile photos & move them around. I have used this method in previous posts here and here.

We arrived home from our family vacation late Sunday night, and by Monday afternoon Spring Break 2013 was complete!

A quick way to get it done…

1. Snap photos with your mobile device
2. Edit or Don’t. Some of our favorite photo apps today: Camera+ for snapping, Snapseed, Phonto, PicTapGo, VSCO Cam, Picfx, Collect, Fuzel
3. Upload to Persnickety Prints-  *DISCLAIMER* until we have our new app up and running, these are the steps you must take to get the gold at the end of the rainbow!:)

Install the Lifepics App to transfer your images:  iPhoneAndroid | Windows 7

How do you change these in a MAC to a 4×4….in my downloads, when I attempt to print it comes out as a 8 1/2 x11….if I try to change the size to smaller the computer/printer thinks it is a photo and tries to print in photo mode….Yes, I’m not very good at this!!

Hi Susan- well, they’re intended for you to upload & print at Persnickety Prints- but definitely feel free to print at home! You’ll need to lay them out in an editing program on an 8.5×11 sheet. Make sure your printer isn’t checked to “print to size”, otherwise the 4×4’s won’t be true 4×4.

Thx for the answer….did not realize they are meant for Persnickety! I probably don’t understand my printer!!

What pocket page is that? From what company?

Hi Priscilla, there is a link in this post to them– WeR Memory Keepers. 4×4 9-up on a 12×12- works great for lots of photos and less time to arrange them in different sized pockets!
